I LOVE ARIZONA

Property Taxes
It's hard to believe, but Arizona has one of the lowest property tax rates in the nation! The annual property tax for a $100,000 home in Phoenix is approximately $660 compared to the national average of $1150. Owner-occupied and rental residential properties are assessed at 10% of full cash value. The average tax rate on Arizona homes before exemptions and rebates is approximately 1.3% of market value.

Golf
Tucked away in Arizona's gorgeous scenery are more than 300 golf courses. Over 200 near the Phoenix area alone. Some are designed by golf's most famous legends like Jack Nicklaus; some are designed around the natural beauty of the area whether it's alpine fairways or desert flowers, cactus, and terrain. The exclusive Robb Report named Scottsdale "America's Best Place to Live for Golf" and many community lifestyles are built around their courses.

Art
If you're an art connoisseur or just enjoy strolling art galleries, sipping wine and ogling interesting works, then you'll love The Phoenix Art Museum and art districts in almost every community. The $25M renovated museum has a collection of almost 16,000 artworks that span the centuries with an emphasis on American, Asian, European, Latin American, Modern and Contemporary, and Western American art. Scottsdale, along with many others, is home to a very artsy population and one-of-a-kind pieces are yours for the taking (or least gazing).

Sports
Whatever season it is, you'll find people cheering on local teams. Metro Phoenix is home to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (college football festival), Arizona Cardinals (NFL), Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB), Phoenix Suns (NBA), Phoenix Coyotes (NHL), Arizona Rattlers (arena football) and the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA). Also, you can get a sneak peek at many of the Major League Baseball teams who hold spring training here including Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, Anaheim Angels, San Francisco Giants and more.

Outdoor Adventure
We love our desert! Why don't I just get you into a home where you can hang your bike, store your hiking shoes, and keep your kayak? After being outdoors, come home and enjoy a lifetime of sunsets and gorgeous mountain views from your own windows and patio.

Weather
You've heard this before, but it's true: "It's a dry heat." Phoenix averages 330 sunny days and less than 8 inches of rain every year. Ignore the occasional dust or thunderstorm during the winter and summer monsoon seasons and you can golf and play outside year-round. Check today's forecast. Oh look! Another beautiful day!

The Grand Canyon
Any "Zonie" will agree that The Grand Canyon is the greatest national park in the country. It draws as many as five million visitors a year from all over the world to the North or South Rims' views. You can enjoy this National Monument and World Heritage site by foot, air, river, mule, IMAX and train. Splurge for a helicopter and airplane tour or get a little crazy and go deep into the heart of the Grand Canyon on a river rafting tour.

Great Phoenix Real Estate Agents
We are not a state treasure, but we can help you find the home of your dreams where all the above and more are right in your backyard.  Since we relocated here ourselves, we still get excited about learning new things and seeing new places. We still have a bit of the "wowed tourist" mentality. We just might introduce you to something new about Phoenix or Scottsdale as well as your new home!
