Realtors more optimistic about housing market
Valley realtors in Scottsdale and Phoenix Arizona are seeing signs the housing market is starting to improve, Don't take my word for it..... This is according to Bob Bemis with the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service.
"Foreclosures in a pending state -- that is, people who have received a notice, but not actually foreclosed yet -- are going down," said Bemis. He said such filings dropped by 6 percent from February to March. "A huge drop from where we were a year ago, of over 25 percent. So that's an excellent trend."
Bemis said March and April numbers will show a slight increase in median and average home prices. He said research also shows that confidence levels among member realtors is increasing, another promising sign. "We're starting to see the confidence that they have in the market returning to a more normal level of activity. It's increasing.
We hit a 71 percent confidence rating this past week and I think that's a very good sign."
